Is Coco Cabana Still Open for The Public?

As of 2024, Coco Cabana’s visiting hours remain uncertain due to ongoing renovations, with no clear timeline or specific details about what is being updated. I recently attended a special event hosted there, and from what I observed, little to no renovation work appears to have been done; in fact, the buildings seem more worn down than before. Previously, Mirians could visit Coco Cabana at any time for free, but now it is open only for those special events. The latest of which I attended, was the “So Extra Market” event that was held in a span of three days from November 7 to 10, 2024.

It should be possible to book Coco Cabana for a private event. However, contact information might be outdated since their social media platforms have been inactive, with the latest posts dating back to 2023. What Can You Expect When Visiting Coco Cabana?

During the special occasions when they are open, you will expect to see a variety of food vendors next to the primary wooden building. Inside that wooden building you will also see different up and coming businesses displaying their products and services. You might encounter stalls offering kombucha, matcha lattes, handmade Bornean candles, or even unique experiences like tattoo artistry and palm readings. Keep in mind, however, that these offerings vary by season and event, so not every visit will feature the same lineup of vendors.

Beautiful Sunset Scenery Around 5PM

When Coco Cabana was open to the public throughout the week, it was a favorite spot for Mirians to enjoy the stunning seaside sunset. Crowds would begin gathering around 5 PM to catch the sun setting at 6 PM. With various vantage points to experience the golden hour, visitors could sit on the wooden decks near the iconic Sea Horse lighthouse, climb to the top floor of the main wooden building for an elevated view, or settle by the rocky edges to fully bask in the warm glow as the sun dips below the horizon.
